What this notice covers
This notice covers the public Dexter Surplus website and its inventory-review inquiry form at dextersurplus.com. A founder-reviewed import can also create separate supplier prospect records in the private workspace before any supplier agreement.
What you provide
The form collects your name, email address, business name, inventory location, inventory description, and permission for AI-assisted assessment and a response. It also records the version of that permission, a request reference, submission time, and whether you separately requested transactional email updates.
Please include only the business information needed to begin a review. Do not send passwords, bank details, payment-card information, sensitive personal information, or confidential customer records.
How we use it
We use your submission to assess whether an inventory review is appropriate and to respond to your request. The founder can read inquiries through a private, authenticated workspace. With the current form’s disclosed permission, Cloudflare Workers AI automatically summarizes the inventory description and location, extracts stated facts, recommends a review priority, and helps prepare follow-up questions. Contact fields such as your name and email are not included in the AI prompt, although information you put in the inventory description may be processed. Generated assessments can be inaccurate and are treated as unverified suggestions. A person decides whether to pursue an inquiry or make a business commitment. If you separately request email updates, we send a receipt and factual updates about your inquiry and resulting inventory review. Submitting the form does not create a listing or make a payment.
We do not add inquiry contacts to a marketing list or sell their submitted information. Earlier inquiries collected under the no-automatic-AI notice remain outside automatic AI review. Direct email remains a separate contact route.
Hosting and site protection
Cloudflare hosts this website and processes and stores form submissions on our behalf. Its infrastructure processes connection and security information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the service. Our intake endpoint uses request validation and limited abuse-prevention records to control repeated submissions.
This public site does not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or a marketing cookie banner. The separate private desk has its own authentication controls.
Email notifications and preferences
Email updates are optional and separate from AI assessment permission. New submissions can request receipts and factual status notices. Earlier submissions are not automatically enrolled. A person reviews detailed follow-ups and commercial messages before sending them. We use Resend to deliver emails and process recipient addresses, message content, and delivery events such as delivery failures, bounces, and complaints. Delivery to a receiving mail server does not establish that you read the email.
Customer notifications include a private preference link to turn future updates off or on. These links expire, and changing a preference requires submitting the preference form. We retain email preferences and suppression records to honor your choices and avoid further mail after a bounce or complaint. Notification records in our application are deleted after at most 90 days; records linked to an inquiry are deleted with that inquiry if sooner. Resend-held emails and direct replies are separate from this application retention schedule. You can request deletion or correction through the support address below.
Contacting us by email
If you email support@dextersurplus.com, Resend processes your email address, message, and any attachments on our behalf so we can review your request. Email is separate from the website inquiry database; its messages are not automatically copied into the private inquiry inbox and do not follow that database's automatic deletion schedule. Please omit sensitive information. You may request access, correction, or deletion by emailing the same address.
How long inquiries are kept
Inquiries, associated AI assessments, and prepared follow-up drafts stop appearing after 90 days and are automatically deleted from the inquiry database within 91 days of submission. Background queue messages contain only an inquiry reference, not your contact details. When the founder reviews and imports an inquiry, its contact details and original inventory description are copied into a separate supplier prospect record. We use prospect records while assessing an engagement and use relevant supplier and transaction records to manage work. The inquiry inbox’s 90-day expiry and 91-day deletion do not automatically delete these separate records. You can request access, correction, or deletion by emailing support@dextersurplus.com.
Access, correction, or deletion requests
Email support@dextersurplus.com, or use the contact form and begin the inventory-description field with “Privacy request.” Describe whether you want to access, correct, or delete inquiry information, and include your inquiry reference if available. We may need to verify that the request concerns your information before acting on it. Do not include identity documents in the form.
Changes to this notice
If the inquiry process or its use of information changes, this page will be updated with the new date and relevant details.
